The problem

The problem that we have now is that every year we are adding more and more greenhouse gases to the atmosphere, especially carbon dioxide, which is also called CO2. These additions of CO2 are known as carbon emissions. As the amount of CO2 and other greenhouse gases in the atmosphere increases, more heat is trapped causing the temperature on Earth to increase. As we will see, higher temperatures can cause some major changes to the weather patterns around the planet and so affect the lives of plants, animals and humans and, for some, their very survival.
