QCA (Qualifications and Curriculum Authority) linked resources
These units have been designed to link with or replace the current QCA units of work taught in most schools. The key objectives within the original QCA have been identified carefully to ensure that they are met by the lessons. However, it is the teachers' responsibility to ensure they are confident that all the necessary skills are covered for their particular school, as every school curriculum is subject to some variation.
All units relate to Science, Geography and Design & Technology. You can choose to teach one of these subjects or link all three by selecting the list of lessons for your Key Stage and the Topic e.g. 'Wind Power' in the lesson search facility, where all the lessons in the unit are listed consecutively. If you choose to teach all lessons in the unit, you will find there is more time available for other work as a result of the cross curricular approach adopted.
Although these lessons have been designed to fit in with current teaching schemes you may prefer to teach the topic as a block of lessons in an enhancement week. Alternatively, you could simply bolt on a few lessons to your current schemes.
THESE PLANS ARE COMING VERY SOON....
