What is Renewable Energy ?

We have abundant natural sources of energy that can be harnessed to produce electricity and generate heat – the sun, wind and water are all energy sources. The weather is all around us and it’s free! On top of that, it’s never going to run out (that’s why it’s called renewable) and doesn’t need to be burnt so it doesn’t cause CO2 emissions. Click one of the buttons above to discover the power of the sun and wind.

Wind, sun, water are all renewable energy sources

The Earth will continue to get warmer as a result of the changes that have already been made to the atmosphere from the past 100 years of human activity. However, if we all take action now to cut our carbon emissions we can help to reduce the climate change that will affect Earth in the future – for the sake of our children, our childrens’ children and all the other life on Our Planet.
