Funding for renewable energy installations on Schools

Low Carbon Buildings: Phase 2

There's £50 million in the pot for renewable energy installations on "public buildings".

The money is managed by the BRE as part of the Low Carbon Buildings: Phase 2 programme from BERR – Department for Business, Enterprise and Regulatory Reform (formerly the DTI).

Low Carbon Buildings: Phase 2 has been revamped for easy online applications, quick decisions in just 5 days and maximum renewable energy benefits to you.

Apply for up to £1 million or 50% of your project cost.

Grants will cover multiple properties and a maximum of three micro-generation technologies (e.g. solar PV, wind turbines and solar thermal available via TLCP).

Applications for more than one site will be accepted.

Grants are currently being awarded to cover up to 50% of the cost of solar photovoltaic (PV) systems and wind turbine installations in these sectors across the UK.
