Why use Our Planet ?

Climate change is a vitaly important subject for everyone and we want to help schools address the issues, the possible impacts and what can be done about it.

In 2006, the Government launched Phase 2 of the Low Carbon Building Programme (LCBP). This is a grant scheme designed to encourage schools, community groups and other public sector and charitable bodies, including housing associations and local authorities to install renewable energy systems.

Grants are currently being awarded to cover up to 50% of the cost of solar photovoltaic (PV) systems and wind turbine installations in these sectors across the UK.
